Obsidian was a former cyberninja student, however, due to a traumatic event in his life, he decided to change profession into science.
However he still maintained much of his elder armour from his days in the dojo

A ninja scientist sounds like one of the best things ever XD It's cool that he kept the sort of ninja aesthetic, though. I wonder if people are ever surprised to find out he works in science. Also I love the shiny gold on black!
